HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (ER/LR)

The Human Resources Specialist (Labor/Employee Relations) position will be located at the Veteran Affairs Hudson Valley Healthcare System (VAHVHCS), Montrose, NY.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Represent local organizations position, proposals, and strategies for labor relations matters;Inform managers and supervisors of regulatory and other requirements to be considered in effective disciplinary actions, removals, suspensions, and/or in resolving issues;Study appropriate directives, precedent decisions, and guides and compiles and analyzes findings;Analyze and evaluate programs, identify problems or deficiencies and provide workable solutions;Assess situations that are complicated by ambiguous, disputed, conflicting, and/or incomplete data to isolate issues and/or problems;Analyze grievances, complaints and Unfair Labor Practices (ULP) to identify systemic problems and recommend solutions;Provide advisory services to managers and supervisors to properly plan, develop, organize, manage and evaluate the performance management program;Provide guidance, consultation, advice and assistance to management on all aspects of employee relations issues;Provide managers and employees with information and interpretation of the organizations Human Resources Labor and Employee relations policy procedures and guidelines; Prepare case-related facility briefs, positions papers, and third party appeals;Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence; andOther duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:
30PMRecruitment incentive of $5000 is approved for a highly qualified candidate.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
